The protection and conservation of at risk species is an incredibly important task that should not be "fast tracked". Ontario's diverse and unique wildlife has long been a part of our identity both as a province and nation. Millions of Ontarians enjoy the natural wonders of our province daily, and it is vital we protect what we have so future generations of Ontarians may also experience what makes our home so special. The native species of Ontario are not something that can be "bought back" later down the line. Such processes will undeniably take time, involve complications and come at a cost, however, they should not to be seen as avoidable expenses but as investments in our future. Ontario's native species and enviroments are critical infrastructure in their own right and it's our duty to protect and fight for our natrual heritage.
