This a terrible, short-sighted idea. Most of our native Canadian species are already at risk to endangered, and this change would effectively allow land developers to potentially kill off or further endanger our beloved species. Additionally, it would violate multiple implicit agreements with Indigenous groups, leading to lawsuits and protests that would take money out of tax-payer pockets. You agreed to help build infrastructure in the Ring of Fire, not destroy its wildlife without accounting for the ecological effects. Do not do this, please.
