This plan doesn’t take into account long term affects it will have on the environment and the people. We live in one of the largest geographical countries and provinces in the world. Surely there’s a way to build that takes the environment into account. We have to stop thinking its environment protection or development. Housing is nothing without clean water or clean air or frequent natural disasters. You can’t live in a house on desolate land, or plagued by disease because the ecosystem is out of balance. And with food insecurity ever on the rise as well as our dependency on produce from other countries, the first thing we should be protecting is our land so we can survive not just today but tomorrow as well.
