Endangered species and species at risk of endangerment cannot protect themselves from urban sprawl and the development of more infrastructure. Modifying the Endangered Species Act (ESA) is clearly only in favour of the Conservative government and its relationships to developers and contractors - it in no way benefits or helps the animals and species the ESA was put in place to protect. We cannot let corporate greed harm more of Canada's biodiversity. Modifying the ESA to begin developing in previously protected areas without the decisions being based on the recommendations of environmental scientists will affect and harm not only the biodiversity and habitats within the immediate areas of construction but would affect many animal's migratory paths, hunting, and foraging, and the noise, disruption, and pollution could seriously harm and/or disturb all nearby biodiversity. Please put Canada first by prioritizing its environment and the nature that makes Canada so special - do not modify the Endangered Species Act.
