I find the laziness and sheer lack of responsibility and respect apparent in this proposal abhorrent. Most Canadians understand that it takes the time it takes to ensure our greatest assets, wilderness and wildlife, remain safe and protected. Wanting to speed up this process shows me what I already knew: Ford remains unchecked and only cares about lining the pockets of both himself and his circle. The long-term catastrophic effects that will result in granting this proposal are undebatable. There’s a reason for instance that national parks had to reintroduce the wolf after culling them. Nature demands balance and we are meant to be the caretakers. I urge our government to take action for the sake of ourselves and our children’s children and ensure this proposal does not go through. It is a lack of diligence that is a slap in the face of everything Canadians say we stand for. I implore you all to read the preamble from the Endangered Species Act 2007 that I included a link to. How can this not still hold as truth? Shortcutting environmental safety and longevity and eco health merely for the sake of convenience profit is sickening, unintelligent, and sorely shortsighted, but most importantly it is not indicative of how most Canadians feel. If you approve this proposal you fail us and you fail yourself.
