The fact that this proposal is hidden within Bill 5 during a federal election is shameful. Our endangered species deserve MORE protection, not less. I do not support any of these proposed changes as it will only allow developers to take advantage and build on land that has endangered species and species at risk without having to mitigate any of the risk. We need more environmental surveys and assessments and protections before developers build huge subdivisions. It should be law that they do everything in their power to mitigate risk to species, even if that means a profit cut. Doug Ford is constantly trying to make changes that negatively impact our environment while boosting profits for his wealthy developer friends. It is appalling, frankly. DO BETTER!
