I am deeply concerned about this proposal. The Registration process will ultimately mean that the profit-driven developers are allowed to self regulate without any need for non-partisan review. Without the review process which provides the opportunity for qualified, trained personnel to weigh in, educate developers and ensure that plans are modified to maximize sustainability , endangered and at risk species in Ontario will be subject to works that interfer with their ability to survive and procreate.

These proposed changes will remove protections for species at risk. If implemented, they will forever changing the biological makeup of Ontario and will likely speed up local climate change, and will only benefit developers.

This is a move towards further rigging of a system designed to enrich a select few at the expense of future generations of people, plants and animals.
