I think this is a poorly reasoned argument to get rid of important protections for our environment. Canada is unique in its vast ecology; I would much rather development be slow than entire species wiped out because some people find it inefficient to protect them. Ontario has over 30 thousand unique species and these proposals put many of them at risk beyond the natural course of extinction. There are countless unforeseen ecological impacts that removing protections for endangered species could cause. I am shocked.
