This bill is equally as ignorant and disgusting as it is abhorrent with terrifying consequences for the future of Ontario. It takes "too long" for a reason. Delays and costs for infrastructure are absolutely necessary for ecological preservation. I behoove you to try to see beyond the short term economic benefits of this plan to the permanent destruction it will cause to our ecosystem.
We very simply cannot have the healthy ecosystems that we rely on to provide us with the air we breathe and the food we eat without it. And we cannot reap the economic benefits without it. Once these animals are gone, they are gone forever.
This bill is more harmful to present and future Ontarians than it is beneficial to a small, elite group of people. This is a lazy policy justified by bureaucratic rhetoric about cutting red tape and improving the economy. Find new ways to build that don't threaten our ecosystem, food security, climate, and endangered species. I trust our government should be innovative enough to figure that out without taking such egregious shortcuts. It's your job.
