Wildlife requires more than merely where they live/den. There are feeding and migration paths that are critical to their survival.
By not including all needed areas of a species survival, breeding, migration routes you are putting their very survival at a risk that is unacceptable.
Ontario has had endangered species protections in place for over 50 years.
These species do not just stand alone they are are part of ecosystem that is interconnected and interdependent.
