This is unacceptable. The protections to endangered, threatened and at-risk avian in Canada is already at an all time low given out rate of economic growth and consequential destruction of habitat, species, and biodiversity. Buildings and developments can be manufactured to move anywhere, ALL OF THESE SPECIES ARE AT RISK OF GOING EXTINCT AND BEING LOST FOREVER TO ALL OF HUMANITY AND EARTH. THEIR INTRINSIC VALUE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. THEY ALSO CONTRIBUTE BILLIONS of dollars yearly to pest control, food chains, medicines, and more. With avian influenza on the rise and the US loosening protocols, Ontario and Canada need to remain a united front in strengthening our protections not changing and lowering them.
How would you feel if a developer walked into your home and said "oh it's just the Smiths house, yes there's only one Smiths family living here, and they need this house or they'll die because there is nowhere else to go, but it's just the Smiths so you should let us kill them for our development!"

That'd be a criminal offence to even propose, yet here we are threatening tens of hundreds of species that provide far more value than any development will ever produce or provide to anyone or anything.

Removing protections against habitats is IMMORAL AND UNETHICAL AND UNJUST AND UNFOUNDED. THERE IS NOWHERE ELSE FOR THESE ANIMALS TO GO, WE HAVE DEVELOPED AND KILLED EVERY OTHER HABITAT. WE CAN NEVER RECREATE OR EVEN REPLICATE EMANY NICHE NATURAL HABITATS AND DIVERSITY OF SPECIES AND ABILITIES WE'VE LOST ALREADY.

WHY ARE YOU DETERMINED TO INDIRECTLY KILL ME BEFORE I TURN THIRTY??? THIS WILL CAUSE EXTREME ENVIRONMENTAL BACKLASH THAT WILL END WITH STRONGER PROTECTIONS OR BODIES ON THE STEPS OF EVERY CITY HALL, BIRD OR HUMAN, WHICHEVER HPAI TAKES OUT FIRST - CAUSE THAT'S A REAL PUBLIC HEALTH BIRD CONCERN ISNTEAD OF THIS DEVELOPMENT MONEY SCHEME.

I would testify in court the importance over hours of every single species on this list if that's what makes this stop. People this isn't opinions. They're trying to slaughter thousands of animals we will never regain or be able to thrive again if this destruction for development is pushed.

Money can't buy life, but you as a provincial government are sure proving it can kill it fast.
