I am disturbed to read about Bill 5 that strips endangered species of habitat protection. We all know that habitat is more than just where an animal or bird or amphibian sleeps. Habitat is where they find food, water, their migration patterns, their nesting, mating, hibernation, the air they breathe, the health of other species they rely on for food. Like it or not, we are all connected. We have a responsibility to protect and grow endangered species populations, as we are the reason they are endangered in the first place. The health of our ecosystem and species within it are related to our own health and well being.
