Redefining habitat to mean a nest and immediate surrounding area doesn't make any sense. Animals use large areas of land in order to survive, they don't just live in a nest. Is there evidence that the endangered species act is slowing down infrastructure development in Ontario? It would be helpful if the government could provide evidence to support their proposed changes. Although the government press release makes many statements about valuing conservation, the changes seem to favour industry only and are therefor not in the interest of Ontario as a whole.
