Endangered species are in short supply...obviously. That is the concept of endangered species. So their occupancy of functional habitats will be numbered few. Habitats for endangered species are also in short supply. Talking about 0.02% of marches and less than 10% of original canopy cover and that 10 remaining percent is not forest and doesnt meet the habitat requirements of the endangered species. The canopy which is here in south western ontario is largely residential, and it isnt maintained in a way that makes it functional habitat. When this act is passed, developments will destroy such a significant amount of habitat due to no endangered species occupation that this will quickly lead to extirpation events in ontario that cannot be fixed. Hardwood forests in south western ontario do not have the regeneration of conifers in northern Ontario.

This is not good stewardship.
