I am concerned that this bill weakens protections for endangered and at risk species in Ontario. One of the things that makes our province special is the many animals and plants that live here. We cannot afford to deregulate protections and risk losing them forever. Additionally, this bill would deal damage to the renewable energy industry in our province by limiting acquisition of key components, which ultimately will result in economic stagnation of a growing sector. Ontarians need clean, renewable energy now more than ever to lower electricity bills and decrease pollution.
