More than ever we need to protect our wildlife. They play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems, which in turn helps keep mankind alive. But animals are are under constant threat already from the destruction of their homes for new housing developments, hunting and just plain neglect. They have as much right to this planet as we do and I think it is appalling that you would even think of removing what little protection they have. You should be strengthening it instead.
