This proposal is greedy, short-sighted, disingenuous, disrespectful, and an over-reach of power. It encroaches on the rights of all current and future inhabitants of Ontario to a safe and prosperous environment. It puts Ontario's climate and environment in increased jeopardy and completely ignores Indigenous rights. There is no good reason for the Premier to have the power or the inclination to fast-track the clearcutting and "development" of essential habitat and greenspace with zero oversight.
Bill 5 is nothing but a blatant redistribution of our land and resources into the hands of Ford and his buddies.
Bill 5 should be thrown out as the vile trash that it is.
