Government, including the elected legislative portion should serve the public good in the long term. No economic crisis justifies the long term destruction of life that we should now know to be key to our wellbeing, whether we understand how or not. This is especially pertinent to the case of endangered species. Doing something as reckless as what Trump is trying to do in the name of countering it, is disingenuous at best. Please put caution ahead expediency. Get imaginative about adaptation and steer away from yet more destruction.
