Protection for endangered species IS complicated and SHOULD take time to figure out. Especially as we continue to infringe more and more on their habitats. Figuring out how we can safely coexist is not a one-size-fits-all solution, and whenever compromises are made in the name of human “progress” or comfort, it is always the animals who lose. As we continue to face increasingly dangerous weather events and consequences of climate change, it is our duty to improve wildlife and environmental protections, not remove or lessen them.
