I strongly oppose these proposed changes. Letting people start projects before getting proper permission puts endangered species at serious risk. Common sense says we should check first, act second—not the other way around.
Giving the government power to ignore expert advice and pick which species to protect is dangerous. If experts say a species is in trouble, it should be protected—no politics involved.
Also, changing the rules to remove protections like “don’t harass animals” and shrinking what counts as their habitat just makes it easier to harm them.
Helping nature should be about doing more, not less. We need stronger protections, not weaker ones.
These changes are bad for the environment, bad for wildlife, and bad for future generations.
