As a voting citizen I have read this proposed document and understand that the government has decided to relinquish any concern or responsibility for nature in Ontario. It was obvious with the Greenbelt scandal, and it is obvious here. I protest against this in the strongest terms as well as Bill 5 which would undemocratically create special economic zones that would allow Doug Ford's friends to avoid the rule of law.
I have a young daughter... actions like this will create a horrible, devastated future for her. What does she have to look forward to? Razed forests, stinking rivers, pollution, and skies and lands empty of animals. Is this really the best Ontario can do??
Our government should be forward thinking: create laws and policies that encourage jobs in green technology. Build sustainable and affordable housing, not the crap developers build today. Reinstate teaching about the Greenbelt in school.
Shame on the conservatives for being undemocratic. You are destroying Ontario and its future for crappy short term gain, and you are relying on citizens not paying attention.
