Why would we ever repeal an act that protects endangered species, except to protect the right to unfettered profits and corporate interest? The climate crisis is fueled by decisions like this. When we disrupt the ecosystem, we disrupt the food chain. Aside from the barbarism of decimating living creatures, when we disrupt the food chain, we create imbalances in the ratio of predators to prey, which impacts the fauna, which impacts the quality of our air and water. This is all so a few individuals can make too much money and evade the taxes they make on that money. I'm so disappointed in our government for acting on the interests of corporations as opposed to the citizens. If you continue to make decisions like this that are so shortsighted, and don't listen to the younger generations, Ontario will experience an exodus of young people and there will be not enough human resources available to deliver the care that the baby boomers currently need and will increasingly need in the coming decades. Stop making decisions for the corporations, we see you doing it, and we're sick of it.
