I oppose this Bill. The government should not be able to remove species protection without appropriate oversight. For industry and development to need only register for a permit to begin work is a very different and condition than needing approval of that permit. Once the work has begun and if approval is not given, how will the damage be corrected. This is a complete shift and an insult. The list goes on but this Bill gives the government too great an ability to disregard species and the environment.
