I can’t even express how much I oppose these changes. My family and I have been hindered by the process of having to obtain permits for building on our own land, and I still wouldn’t change anything about the endangered species act. Canada has incredible biodiversity, Ontario alone is home to so many endangered species. Protecting the green spaces we have left is unbelievably important for maintaining the province for future generations. I have lived my whole life in rural Ontario, and I have watched as pieces of land have been bought and developed, destroying the incredible wilderness we have out here. I am sick of people feeling entitled to land that was never ours to begin with.
