I very strongly oppose bill…

I very strongly oppose bill 5. I want stronger environmental protections and the protection of endangered species. I oppose shortcuts for industry. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones. I believe our natural environment should be prioritized, respected, and we as a province should commit to conservation. There are already too many instances of environmental protections being disregarded for the sake of capitalist pursuits (one ex is Bill 154, the Rebuilding Ontario Place Act which excludes the project from the Environmental Assessment Act). Bill 5 is not in the best interests of Ontarians, will do irreparable harm to our vulnerable ecosystems, and subject Ontarians to increased pollution and environmental toxins. Money is not more important than public and environmental health.
