I am opposed to Bill 5. This is simply a bill to fast track projects for the billionaire corporations and tramp on the rights of Canadian citizens, indigenous people and the environment for their profit. Canada is respected worldwide for our environmental protections and now while climate change accelerates Ford wants to use the economic threat posed by the USA to trample our environment and enrich his buddies, and himself at the expense of Canadian citizens and our environment. We need to look at existing properties for transformation opportunities first. If Big Development wants to build they need to do their due diligence for our county and our citizens. I say no to profits over people in the guise of helping with the housing problem. After all it’s their greedy fault we are in this housing mess to begin with. How about reintroducing rent control or forcing corporate landlords to have a percentage of their rentals set aside for lower income families? Mr. Ford works for the citizens of Ontario not big business, he needs to find better solutions for us not them!
