This government obviously STILL does not comprehend the connection between nature, biodiversity and humans. The nail in the coffin all started in Ford's first term by eliminating the Environmental Commissioner (why would anyone do that unless you have something to hide), the seed factory (not understanding the importance of native seeds or the government's role in maintaining this), the Greenbelt (it's not all about highways!) ... etc., etc. I am all for speeding up approvals -- so -- why not hire more staff to do the approvals? We cannot have a user self identification system, ever. I DO NOT support the gutting of the Species at Risk Act AT ALL!!! Once you go in this direction, there is no turning back.
