This bill benefits no one but developers and shows a lack of understanding for endangered species in general. To top this all off it is disrepectful to first nations people of ontario, who are the original peoples of this land and deserve to have a voice in any environmental changes to their lands before ANY changes can begin whatsoever alongside experts whose voices help prevent irrepairable disasters both buildings and environments.
This housing crisis exists because of big developers as well as greedy landlords and real estate brokers not because of home scarcity. So maybe you should help enforce and spread awareness of the landlord tenant act, update OW, OCB, and Subsidy programs for the people who are struggling in this the most or just condense it into UBI (Universal benefital income) since it has been proven to be economically better and cheaper than our existing social programs, fund social housing so we can update and eventually build more by using sustainable methods and reliable design to rent out to own to people, or make a bill to tax those with empty extra homes with no renters, and put limits to buying multiple homes. Make landlord and tenant education a requirement, not an option. You could crack down on people who are actively trying to make required needs unafforable because they know so many people require them to live. There is so much more you can do that does not require sketchy bills and cutting government oversight that do not benefit the people you are required to listen to and take care of, some of which who blindly voted you in.
You want to solve homelessness and housing issues? Stop slashing public funding into provincial healthcare, education and social programs while selling us out to private equity and business that can only make a profit and make lives more expensive in general than cheaper because that is nothing more than you scaming the people with promises of affordablity and accessability that will never happen under your care.

So when do the provincal Liberals are no longer the ones to blame? When I last checked when you are the one consistently making those very same issues that they made, worse, and making more issues, it is showing you are also the problem not the solution especially since you have been in for 3 terms and the only thing you have to show for it is that you think alcohol should be as accessable as possible and that you cave for things that work and benefit only your pockets not your the peoples livelyhoods.

But when will it be enough? When nature is destroyed and we need to manufacture our own air to breath? When our water becomes so poluted that fish and animals can no longer exist in their own habitats? When people are dying because there was nothing done to prevent their deaths? When we can no longer grow food in or on our own soil?
Money is not air. Money is not water. Money is not food. Money is not shelter. Money is not health.
So do not value a tool over the people who use it because one day that tool will have no use when everyone finds no value in it.
