For example, maintaining diverse pollinators for the pollination of crops, preserving plants that may produce important chemicals for drug development, and conserving diversity results in more resilient ecosystems. With the changing climate, it is now more important than ever that step up conservation efforts and enhance the protection of protected and endangered species. The proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act are irresponsible and harmful to the environment.
