I oppose Bill 5 in Ontario…

I oppose Bill 5 in Ontario because it undermines local democracy by reducing the number of city council seats without proper public consultation. It purposefully disrupts fair representation, making it harder for constituents to have their voices heard. Additionally, the timing of the bill—introduced during an election period— unfairly impacts candidates and voters alike. The Ford government had already proven multiple times such as with Hwy 413 and the Science center that they will do anything to get rid of environmental orientations and simply so not care about permanently, negatively impacting any environment.
