I oppose Bill 5.
I oppose the granting of short cuts and overriding of laws for industry and select interests at the expense of the environment, indigenous peoples and average citizens.
We need STRONGER protection, not less, to ensure the longevity and prosperity of all species.
Not allowing for public oversight and overriding laws is government overreach and threatens democratic process.
Our government is meant to serve the citizens it represents, not to exert unilateral power.
Bill 5 is dangerous on many levels. Once environmental damage is done, it is done forever.
