I totally disagree with Bill 5. This is a slippery slope we will be going down. Equally alarming is the creation of “special economic zones” that would allow cabinet to approve major development projects without proper environmental assessment, public input or Indigenous consultation. This short cut for Ford’s friends undermines transparency, accountability and Ontario’s duty to uphold Indigenous rights and treaties. It is your constitutional duty to consult with Ontarians and to be transparent. You are supposed to be governing all of Ontario with care for what makes this province a wonderful place to live in. If you destroy our wetlands, farmlands, forests, heritage, and watershed, what will make this province the envy of others? How will life be made better by you? When we look back ten years from now, what will we be proud of? Your decisions effect our society and our communities. There are experts who can help solve our issues of housing and transportation. Let's do better.
