In the dead of night, under the cover of darkness, just before winter, the homes, stores, and habitat of MANY species, all on a migratory path, were DESTROYED 😡 in favour of a “spa” owned by a foreign company that we have now been advised operated under false pretences to gain access to land belonging to the people of Ontario and to include a 95 year lease that will give them access to water where they will dump waste, lake fill and thus destroying more of our environment!
Cruel, heartless, abusive, vile, and vindictive.
Ford/Surma MUST be held personally responsible for this destruction and should be forced to return the area to its former, natural glory! Instead, they wonder why coyotes are running local neighbours!
There are thought out agreements in place wrt migratory paths and species at risk for a reason!
Now they are attempting to level SARA? Understand it would be to access habitat to sell it off to the highest bidder to line their pockets and those of there donors! Species at risk will then be vulnerable/be killed for the profit of this provincial government! UNACCEPTABLE! They do not get to rewrite ALL of the laws such that they can then run rough over this province, sell it off and not be held accountable! The damage will be irreparable and will affect generations of flora/fauna to come!
