This Bill is ridiculous and…

This Bill is ridiculous and I do not support it. This isn’t about protecting Ontario or making Ontario stronger this is about weakening the natural infrastructure in this province. Your government and this bill seems to be only focused on the instant gratification of making a quick bucks and slapping up some quick construction projects at the cost of the environment that has been supporting watersheds, ecosystems, and flood protections. The nature and environment in Ontario is a unique place. If we look to our future generations that will be here as the next generation of land stewards in this province you have to lead by example. If we connect what’s happening here to the education system the curriculum that you have put in the Ontario curriculum doesn’t support the decisions that you are making within the Ontario legislature. You want students to become stewards of the land, protect endangered species, learn about impacts on the environment, understand the impact of invasive species, how the interconnectedness of the animals impact each other in a chain of events. This is a slap in the face to all those children and students who have been learning about protecting the environment, the water systems and the animals and plants in Ontario. This bill is contradictory to what your government has made an important factor for children to learn. This Bill goes against all science and is not appropriate. There has to be systems in place to protect what humans have already impacted significantly and now you want to take that away. I do not support this bill on behalf of myself, the future and the legacy of this province. We should be even more significant stewards within this province with the sheer amount of nature, fresh water and wildlife we have here.
