The many different habitats and ecosystems in Ontario boast a wide array of wildlife. Ontario is home to over 30,000 different types of animals and insects; living throughout the various forests and different habitats throughout this amazingly diverse province. Southern Ontario specifically is known to be an important stop on the journey of many migratory birds due to its location.
The beauty of this beautiful province lies in its natural wonder. To remove protections to endangered species, to continue to desecrate natural habitats and build upon their remains in the name of money and greed - to continue to steal the lush green forests that make Ontario such an adventurous place to live - takes away a part of Ontario’s soul down to it’s core.
Our endangered Ontario animals deserve protection. These animals lived in these forests long before humans, and if it weren’t for our greed, many of these animals would not be endangered to begin with. Removing protections from an already marginalized, vulnerable group of voiceless animals is morally wrong and unnecessary to allow provincial growth.
Allowing the Endangered Species Act to be repealed is signing a death warrant for those endangered species. Please reconsider the serious consequences this will have on Ontario’s ecosystem.
