I am an avid, wild bird lover. My garden attracts numerous native and migratory. Birds are an essential aspect of our community and world. Birds and butterflies help transfer pollen from trees and flowers. It’s important to provide nesting habitat as well as safe spaces for bird communities to live and thrive. Their songs add joy to our lives. I moved to Hamilton decades ago because it was such a diverse ecosystem close to the escarpment.
Please protect this diverse habitat for our wild birds. I encourage Less concrete and more trees, shrubs, and other vegetation consistent with native birds.
