I opose bill 5.
- the bill does not limit the economic zones to northern Ontario, despite claiming to want to use it there.
- there is no purpose clause in this bill
- there is no process that needs to be followed before making those designations
- this bill makes it so it's no longer a goal to recover endangered species
- the new bill would make it so the species habitats are too small for survival
- would result in weakened legal protection for species that are at risk
