I strongly oppose Bill 5. I want stronger environmental and endangered species protections. I also strongly oppose shortcuts for industry. This bill would allow for the overriding of the law in specific economic zones. Doug Ford thinks that Bill 5 will somehow protect Canadians from Trump. Well, he is completely wrong. We need to be protecting Ontarians by having strong environmental protections in place. Doug Ford also thinks that Ontarians will be too distracted with everything happening in the world to pay attention to this egregious bill. He is also wrong about that. Just like Ontarians fought back against the destruction of the Greenbelt, we will do the same here.
