This proposed change seems disingenuous. The effects will be detrimental to a number of species across the province and provide politicians with the decision making potential that should be left to experts in the field that understand the nuance and needs of the diverse species that call our province home.

What this is is a clear attempt to make development easier and cheaper for large industries. While I support economic growth it should not come at the expense of our natural resources, and moreover should not be veiled as an attempt to protect the very species that it stands to harm the most.

If they were honest about the effects of this bill it would never be adopted by the general population.
