Please do not do this. I hope that we are able to recognize the consequences of ignoring scientists and experts and leaving decisions that require said expertise in the hands of government officials without the proper knowledge for the sake of profit. This is what is happening down south, and this is exactly what this proposal is.

Furthermore, we are already not doing nearly enough to combat the effects of climate change and industrial/residential development on our local ecosystems, we desperately need to keep in place the few measures we already have.

This is frankly a disgusting display of profit driven decisions that will benefit only a select few while negatively impacting the rest of us, and policies like this have to stop.
