This is outrageous, this will not be good for anyone or anything. Removing this act and allowing for critical habitat to be developed, only lessens biodiversity which our native ecosystems rely, this causes natural resource loss over time. Drying wetlands lowers the water table, creates mineralization of the soil and concentrates salts in certain natural aquifers. We lose out on viable habitat for native forests increasing the availability for invasive species to spread. Losing out of dense biomass we lose micro/macrofauna, vital for recycling nutrients, and pollinating which agricultural industry replies. It’s a trickle down of disaster. Why do we want to live backwards?
