I am a resident of the Nipissing–Temiskaming area, and I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 5. This bill represents a concerning move to limit local representation and reduce the democratic voice of communities across Ontario.

As someone who values responsive and accountable leadership, I believe that downsizing councils or centralizing power—without meaningful consultation—erodes trust in government and weakens our democratic institutions. The people of Ontario deserve to be heard, not silenced through legislative overreach.

I urge you to stand up for the interests of your constituents and oppose Bill 5. Our communities are stronger when local voices are protected, not undermined.
