Bill 5 is dangerous to not only natural ecosystems but to the people of Ontario. I am shocked at our current government’s single minded destruction of protections that have been put in place to prevent the irreversible loss of habitats and the flora and fauna within them. We are all deeply connected to these natural areas. We depend on them for our survival. They are protected for a reason. We must speak for those who cannot.

I am also concerned with the complete lack of consultation with and respect for Indigenous people who live on these lands. This is not reconciliation but more of the abuse these people have endured for centuries. Shame on this government and anyone who supports Bill 5. It must be stopped!
