As an Ontario resident, I oppose this proposal and the notion that development is more important than the environment. While it is important to build affordable housing, it should not be done at the expense of the environment, particularly when it comes to the safety and welfare of endangered species. I also encourage the government to remember that the environment is not a commodity to be bought and sold, but rather an essential part of Ontario that should be protected and not considered less important than development of infrastructure.
