I do not support this change.

There is no evidence that environmental regulations are reason for the gap in affordable homes, which fuels the housing crisis.

Also the report does not explain reasons for what they consider a "slow timeline" for current approvals. Sometimes quality approvals take time and I would not want any quality lost on something as important as protecting environment.

The government must come up with more innovative solutions for our housing crisis rather than exploiting the earth. There are many unused building accross canada that could be turned into housing, government could put in regulations that stop housing from being something that builds wealth instead of a basic need.

This environmental change is not appropriate for the problem it aims to address. It also puts future generations at further environmental risk.
