I am extremely concerned…

I am extremely concerned about what this bill will allow to happen to species in our province. Limiting protected areas to only the direct living area of animals rather than for the whole area that an animal uses for travel and feeding is shortsighted and will lead to loss of habitat for at risk species.

I am also concerned by the introduction of “economic concerns” into the decision making process about which areas and species to protect. This again will harm so many at risk species in our province in so many ways.

This policy is poorly thought out and short sighted in an attempt to develop land in areas that should not be developed period.
