I do not want you to pass Bill 5. It is an utter destruction of our environment. It is a destruction of the rights for every Ontario citizen, including our children, to live in a safe place. This will actively hinder the future's ability to live. We are in dire climate disaster and your proposal to streamline this is unacceptable.
Considering the Ontario government is currently in litigation for its violation of Charter rights by the removal of climate targets, I fail to see how Bill 5 will help you appear like you're supporting everyday human beings by streamlining the destruction of our home even further. Stop destroying our planet.
Stop thinking inside the box, do something different that isn't destroying our planet. Look to other countries and see how they build high density housing (we are far from the first place to deal with a housing crisis, we do not need to reinvent the wheel). Fund new innovative ways to create electricity. Ontario used to be a leader in solar energy, and this Conservative government scrapped the entire initiative. You continue to keep us stagnant and in maintenance of the status quo.
In the words of this area's original caretakers: We cannot eat money (especially Canadian dollars laced with plastic) - you included.
Be better. We are running out of time.
