There needs to be accountability and protections. While I understand that the current process may take long, removing protections is not the answer. Unfettered expansion already causes issues with overwhelming current infrastructure, threatening wildlife and their habitat (causing unwanted interactions such as with coyotes). Making development easier by removing protections only make developers rich at the expense of everyone else.
