To whom it may concern,

I am writing to let you that I am vehemently opposed to the Proposed interim changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and a proposal for the Species Conservation Act, 2025! As someone who educated members of the public on animal and habitat conservation, this bill is an affront to every Ontario citizen. This bill is pure smoke and mirrors in order to bulldoze and decimate Ontario's wild spaces and our wildlife. This is another attempt at land grabs for a specific few to profit while destroying our wild spaces. There are so many species fighting for survival already. Every species of turtle and many species of bats and many other native species in Ontario are already endangered. This proposal could easily literally pave the way to push them over the brink, despite the pitiful efforts stated in this bill. A registration first approach is naive at best, and to remove 'harassment', you're kidding right? How many animals die every year because of harassment alone? The disgusting penned dog hunting program is proof of this. The fact the 'government' will have the right to remove animals from the threatened list shows that you are not basing any of this on science or animal welfare. Look to Alberta and how their Minister is decimating their wildlife by double dealing as a minister with family in the hunting/"tourism" business. Every species that dies and goes extinct because of this action will lie at this governments' feet and hopefully this bill and its creators will forever be associated with those extinctions, "Extinction caused by the "Species Conservation Act of the Doug Ford government of Ontario 2025."

Infuriated Ontario resident.
