More than ever before, we need proper screening and permit processes for new developments. The effects of climate change are present and real. We need to maintain the protections for the environment and land that already exist and if anything, make them more stringent, rather than allowing new projects to start action before reviews have taken place, and without ensuring proper protocols are followed. This Bill must not go ahead. We cannot afford to approve any bills that risk accelerating climate destruction and climate change.
